While en route to the Dog Rescue Shelter in Mladenovac, Serbia, a group of volunteers noticed a solitary dog on the side of the road. Despite the fact that it was raining heavily, the canine was standing alone. As they came closer, the frightened dog fled from the street and hid in the thick bushes. When the rescuers attempted to approach, the dog exhibited aggressive behavior, but this was simply due to her fear.
In an effort to gain the trust of a timid canine, the rescuers resorted to using food as a lure. It took numerous attempts and a great deal of patience, but eventually the dog began to feel comfortable around them. She even permitted them to stroke her and carry her into their vehicle. Once they arrived at the shelter, the team decided to give her the name ‘Lady.’
The relief she felt after being rescued from the cold rain was immense. Moreover, she received proper medical attention and care which added to her comfort. It was a great blessing that she was declared perfectly healthy. Luckily, she found a loving family who adopted her just a month later. Her new home has a big backyard where she can run and have fun with her furry sibling. Plus, she now sleeps in a cozy bed instead of enduring abandonment in the rain.
